There are 3 distinct modes of operation for Fire-Pod.
Several fire extinguishers are always on site.
1) Tendril pilot lights only: Perimeter is not necessary. Participants are
encouraged to go inside. The purpose of this mode is to allow participants to
approach burning art without any fuel dumps. At this time, all fuel dumps are
empty and disabled. Pictured below.

2) Tendril pilot lights and outer fuel dumps: This generally requires a
perimeter with a 30’-40’ diameter (marked off with cones or something similar
aided by crew). This is the mode during which fire performers and members of the
audience are able to be inside of Fire-Pod while the outer fuel dumps are fired.
Entry/Exit of participants is tightly controlled. Pictured below.
3) All systems go: This also requires the 30’-40’ perimeter. Participants are
not allowed within the perimeter during this mode During fire performances,
performers may enter the perimeter. Fire-Pod can be choreographed with music and
performances. Pictured below
